Maps and Menus has created a map of the United States showing the top things to do in all 50 states and Washington DC. The picks are based upon the top-rated thing to do, according to users of the travel mega-site Tripadvisor.
If you wanted a United States bucket list, you could certainly do worse than this one. It includes five national parks, six memorials / cemeteries, four art museums, two zoos, two scenic drives, three sports venues, and a lunatic asylum, among much else. Taken as a whole, it gives a good cultural overview of the United States.
We were thrilled to learn that in a trip out West last year, we’d knocked off the top thing to do in four different states.
