Horseshoe Bend is located within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, where the Colorado River takes a majestic, hairpin turn and doubles back on itself. It’s a sweeping, dramatic vista, as you look down upon the spot where the river has eroded away 1,000 feet, from rim to riverbed.
